How we handle personal data when you use WP Plugin Rank.
This policy explains what EXTHUS LTD (“we”, “us”), trading as WP Plugin Rank, collects when you visit WP Plugin Rank or create an account, why we need it, and the choices you have. We are a UK company providing a SaaS rank tracker for plugins listed on WordPress.org.
Who we are
Controller: EXTHUS LTD (Company no. 17253986) . Registered office: 167-169 Great Portland Street, 5th Floor, London W1W 5PF, United Kingdom. Contact: support@wppluginrank.com.
What we collect
- Account details — name, email address, password hash (we never store plain passwords), and optional Google account identifier if you sign in with Google.
- Service data — plugins and keywords you track, rank history, plan and billing status.
- Billing data — PayPal subscription identifiers, payer email PayPal shares with us, plan and interval. Card details are handled by PayPal; we do not see or store them.
- Technical logs — IP address, browser user agent and approximate timestamps for security, abuse prevention and troubleshooting (for example password-reset rate limits).
- Support correspondence — messages you send to our support email.
Why we use it
- To create and secure your account, and to provide the rank-tracking service you request (contract / legitimate interests).
- To process subscriptions and send transactional email about billing and account security (contract / legal obligation).
- To prevent fraud, spam and abuse, and to keep the service reliable (legitimate interests).
- To respond to support requests (legitimate interests / contract).
We do not sell your personal data. We do not use your tracking data to advertise third-party products to you.
Cookies and sessions
We use a session cookie so you can stay signed in and so forms can include CSRF protection. That cookie is essential to the service.
With your consent we also use Google Analytics (measurement ID
G-R2JK4C2PXF) to understand how the site is used. Analytics cookies are only
set after you choose Accept all on the cookie banner. Choosing
Essential only keeps the site working without analytics. You can change
your choice any time via Cookie settings in the footer.
We do not run third-party advertising cookies on the marketing or app pages described in
this policy.
Who we share data with
- PayPal — when you start or manage a paid subscription.
- Google — only if you choose Google sign-in (OAuth profile email and name).
- Hosting and email infrastructure — our UK/EU-oriented hosting and mail transport needed to run the site and send transactional email.
- WordPress.org — we query publicly available plugin directory data; we do not send your personal account details to WordPress.org.
We may disclose information if required by UK law or to protect the rights, property or safety of WP Plugin Rank, our users or others.
How long we keep it
Account and tracking data are kept while your account is open. After you ask us to delete an account, we remove or anonymise personal data within a reasonable period, except records we must retain for tax, accounting, dispute or security reasons (for example billing events and email delivery logs).
International transfers
Some processors (for example PayPal or Google) may process data outside the UK. Where that happens we rely on appropriate safeguards offered by those providers (such as standard contractual clauses) or on transfers that are otherwise lawful under UK GDPR.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask to access, correct, erase or restrict your personal data, and to object to certain processing. You may also request a portable copy of account data you provided. To exercise these rights, email support@wppluginrank.com. You can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) if you are unhappy with how we handle your data.
Children
WP Plugin Rank is aimed at adults running WordPress plugin businesses. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the service after an update means you accept the revised policy.
